Jaclyn Zimmermann for HD98

A lifelong resident of Missouri, Jaclyn currently lives in Manchester with her husband Todd and three sons. Jaclyn is a practicing attorney and a small business owner. After growing up in Steelville, Missouri, she attended Missouri State University and later attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law.

Jaclyn is a strong advocate for education, women's reproductive rights, and common sense gun legislation. Her kids currently attend public schools, so she knows firsthand the difficulties public schools are facing in Missouri, including low teacher pay. She is a strong advocate for public education, and wants to strengthen the public school system in Missouri, not weaken it.

As a woman, reproductive rights are one of Jaclyn’s foremost concerns, and she is committed to working hard to make sure that Missouri women have control over their own reproductive health. Jaclyn firmly believes that Missourians have had enough of the government inserting itself into the private decisions between a woman, her family, and her doctor

Growing up in rural Missouri, Jaclyn gets that responsible gun ownership is a cornerstone of our country and state. But at the same time, she knows that common-sense gun laws are needed to keep guns out of the hands of dangerous people, and to keep guns out of schools so our children are safe.

I have focused my law practice for 14 years on helping Missouri workers resolve disputes with their employers. I advise my clients on employment discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour issues. I know firsthand the hardships Missouri workers have faced in the workplace, and I have dedicated my career to helping them.

Why this campaign is #PoweredByMOPolitical: Y’all know that the former 99th District is one of our favorite places in West County. Having fought hard to make sure that the people of Manchester, Twin Oaks, and Valley Park has the representative they deserve in Trish Gunby, we want nothing more than to see that history of fantastic leadership continue. Jaclyn’s experience, focus on the issues, and commitment to doing the hard work mean that she’s the right choice for this tough job. Trish and Deb are 100% behind Jaclyn in this race, and so are we!
