Tawni graduated from UMSL with her bachelor’s degree in Political Science and minor in Spanish. Her favorite book is Ishmael by Daniel Quinn. She strongly recommends this book to anyone with a sincere desire to save the world.

Her love for animals and the environment is what drew her into public policy. Tawni has worked as a waitress, chef, and front desk receptionist before coming to MOPC. She believes in a livable minimum wage, the elimination of the current tipping system, and regulation of landlords to provide affordable housing.
