Our Mission

Meyers Okohson Political Consulting was founded in 2016, in the wake of a hard year for progressive candidates. Tired of watching good-hearted candidates with good messages and good principles lose winnable races, Rosetta Okohson set out to create a new kind of consulting firm. Rooted in her experience as an activist, organizer, and campaign coordinator, her firm would offer full-service solutions to clients aiming to bring real, positive change to the political landscape.

Since its inception, our firm has worked in support of dozens of progressive candidates and ballot initiatives, providing full-service consulting and organizing to all kinds of campaigns - from school board races to presidential primaries and everywhere in between. We have knocked in excess of 400,000 doors over the past two cycles, and have cultivated relationships with thousands of volunteers, community activists, and local organizations. Our firm has conducted direct mail campaigns for candidates and initiatives, and as experts in content creation and distribution offer years of experience in CRM data management, list building, and written media development.

And we are still in this fight. For the candidates we believe in, for the health and welfare of our communities, and most importantly because of a set of driving principles which compel us to make change. We believe that love is love. That Black Lives Matter. That no human is illegal, and that reproductive rights are human rights. We stand with organized labor, and we fight for a living wage. And in the change we make, we seek equity - not just equality.

These values are at the heart of everything we do. They are a constant refrain: one which echoes through our work, informing who we hire and who we allow to hire us. Our firm will only fight for clients who stand in support of our core beliefs, and for those clients we fight hard. Our company’s goal in supporting candidates and causes is simple - to provide them with a world-class team of professionals who can elevate their outreach to the next level.
